outside.in is looking to hire an excellent senior rails developer. We're a well-established startup with a lot of momentum focusing on revolutionizing the hyperlocal space.
We're looking for someone who is well organized, excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment, and has the attitude that any problem can be tackled.

outside.in creates "on the fly" local newspapers for any address in the US. The site lets users track and explore news & information in their neirborhood. outside.in is also a community for neighbors to discuss the events and places that matter most to them. The company offers publishers, such as bloggers and media companies, tools to increase inventory, circulation and promotion; and advertisers the technology and tools to take geotargeting beyond zip codes, to an unlimited set of locations.
We're also offering a $500 bounty for successful referrals.
Our ideal candidate would have:
* experience deploying rails applications with mongrel and nginx
* solid knowledge of rails and ruby fundamentals (commits to plugins, gems or core a plus)
* experience with a high-traffic site including troubleshooting database queries and implementing caching for high performance
* knowledge of postgres
* familiarity with version control (svn or git)
* an interest in aggressive re-factoring, testing w/ RSpec, pair programming, and gets a thrill from DRY-ing up code
