We're looking for a creative and seasoned Ruby engineer to be an active contributor on a small dedicated team that's focused on improving our code base for a better tomorrow. Technically, this means to move the quality of our code base from good to stellar and to splitting out parts of the application into well defined libraries and/or services.

We are looking for full stack engineers who can improve our frameworks, refactor what exists, and lead our open source efforts by publishing some of the resulting gems. This team works closely with both the product and infrastructure engineering teams and drives its own agenda.

Current projects include:
Modularizing public and internal REST APIs
Evaluating and introducing new frameworks and software
architectures: JRuby, Ruby 1.9,3, Rails 3.2
Scaling our high volume mail and application stacks
Requirements
Desire to program in Ruby and understanding of simple elegant code.
You are actively participating in open source projects.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing elegant APIs.
Master all technologies that are found in a robust modern high performance Rails stack.
